The focus of Reel Green Media consulting
involves a transformation in how people and productions
companies interact with the natural environment. We invite
people into a constructive conversation about their current
relationship the environment and then analyze how to best
address the specific needs of the project, facility or organization.
A typical engagement involves an initial workshop. We begin
by answering the question: Where are we now? We then brief
participants on the history of the environmental movement
and where their organization stands in that movement. The
primary focus of this initial conversation is for the organization
to work through the organization's existing culture, systems
and evaluate their relationship with the natural environment.
In this workshop we strive to have participants see the
environment as a human issue.
We understand that there are various shades of green and
we don't expect everyone to have the ability or the resources
to go the extreme, however we would like to assist you in
making the right choices and being as environmentally friendly
as possible.
We coach you to taking the steps to be a little "GREENER"!
A complete transformation of an organization, be it a production
company, theater company, studio or individual, will not
happen over night and will normally require several projects.
But by providing a space for conversation between management
and craftspeople and policy and ethics, we hope to integrate
ways of sustainability and environmental responsibility
to reach a point of natural sustainability where the "new
culture" has become "the way it is".
Throughout any consulting engagement, we will be coaching
both the high executives and the staff. We will coach producers,
project managers and executives about their leadership styles
and how to encourage eco-practices, as well as, work with
crews, staff and subcontractors to ensure that environmental
initiatives and sustainable actions are being carried out
in a way that does not hinder the artistic process.
